Mario Kart Wii Includes 32 Courses and 12-Player Online

The next big game on Wii is clearly Mario Kart, and I know I’m not the only Wii owner excited for the latest entry in the series. Famitsu recently got all sorts of details about the game, and thanks to the wonders of translations, we know that the game will feature 32 courses, 16 of which are new. Online multiplayer will support up to 12 players, and your Mii will be available as a character to race as.

Here’s a nice bullet point list of the information, as compiled by Evil Avatar:

  • 32 courses. 16 remakes of old tracks, and 16 new courses
  • Tricks will give your kart or bike a turbo dash upon landing
  • 12 person online multiplayer, which will make use of your friends lists
  • A Mario Kart Channel on your Wii dashboard
  • You will be able to use your Mii as a racer

We’re still several months away from the game’s release in North America, but we’ll hopefully be getting further details in the coming weeks.

I thought the next big game on Wii is Smash Bros. Brawl or does it not count since it’s already out in Japan.

Smash Bros. was released in my mind several months ago once we had approximately 89 weeks of Dojo!! coverage to enjoy.
