Markov is Evolve’s Assault Class
Meet Markov. He’s an alien hunter who enjoys getting face-to-face with his prey and inflicting maximum damage.
He’s also the first character class revealed by Turtle Rock for its upcoming 4v1 sci-fi shooter, Evolve.
Game Informer is handling the reveal duties, and provides the details on Markov. He’s officially listed as the Assault class of Evolve, and comes packing a close-range lightning gun, a mid-range assault rifle, arc mines, and a handy personal shield to absorb alien attacks.
The remaining character classes will be revealed this week, and I’m looking forward to learning more. Evolve immediately became one of my most anticipated games of 2014 when it was revealed a week ago. That’s because we know Turtle Rock (Left 4 Dead) can do co-op like few others, and I love that Evolve’s player-controlled monster grows more powerful over time. That should create a sense of urgency for the hunters to track down and kill the beast as quickly as possible. That also means the tables will turn and the hunters will become the hunted as a match progresses. Really a brilliant little gameplay mechanic.
