Mass Effect 3 Face Import Patch Crashing The Game

Yesterday, we told you that BioWare had finally fixed the Mass Effect 3 face import bug via a patch (issued yesterday). It seems we may have spoken to soon. It’s entirely likely that patch did fix the bug, but not that you’d know, at least if you’re one of the thousands of players whose games crash when you try to connect to EA servers. Yes, their fix broke. It seems that after installing the patch and restarting their game, players are seeing their devices freeze up on the ‘connecting to EA servers’ screen.

BioWare is aware of the problem, and has solicited information from players via the Mass Effect 3 social forums. Note: According to responses to that post, the problem seems concentrated on the Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect 3.

Game Fronters, have you experienced this problem on PC? If so, how did you deal with it?

No crashes for me yet after this patch on PC, although I haven’t really played that much – a bit tired of multiplayer and don’t really feel like re-playing the game.

well go figure.. if anyone remembers Star Wars : TOR and its famous 1.1 patch.. broken the game and made it unplayable to many… another bioware/EA game… makes you wonder…….
