Mass Effect 3 Rumored to Have a Multiplayer Mode

Officially, Bioware has denied that Mass Effect 3 will have a multiplayer mode. However, there’s reason to believe that they might be misleading fans in an attempt to dramatically reveal the multiplayer closer to the release date. There’s a couple pieces of evidence floating around to support this theory.

First of all, Mass Effect 3′s assistant producer Billy Buskell has tweeted about a “secret feature” in Mass Effect 3. It would make sense for Bioware to deny multiplayer if they’re trying to keep it a secret. Secondly, Bioware is planning to reveal a “killer new feature” in the next issue of Xbox World 360 on October 25th. And most recently, a South African retailer had an advertisement for Mass Effect 3 that listed “Online Multiplayer Pass” as one of the benefits of ordering the collector’s edition (Ad pictured below).

So, could we be seeing a multiplayer mode in the new Mass Effect game? I definitely wouldn’t discount the possibility. We’ll just have to wait and see.

I really hope this is not annother ”Cerebus network” kind of scam they hade going for ME2 promising free DLC only to then turn around knife costumers in the back while releasing pay for DLC outside of it.
