Mass Effect 3 Will Have an Online Pass

BioWare today sent out a press release “officially” announcing Mass Effect 3‘s co-op features and the Galaxy at War thingie we talked about the other day. In that release was one important bit of news: that Mass Effect 3′s co-op can only be accessed with an online pass that will be included with new copies of the game.

This only further makes me feel like the addition of co-op was the mandate of EA, because they just want so badly to stick an online pass in every game they put out. And this way they don’t have to give out any free DLC with a Cerberus Network code, so we can truly be nickel and dimed the way they always wanted.

But, of course, I’ll be all in, and I’m sure you will, too. Sigh.
