Mass Effect Genesis Comic Now Available on Xbox 360

The Genesis interactive comic was a necessity on the PS3 since there is no Mass Effect 1 on that platform; folks playing ME2 need some way to “play” the first game’s story and make key decisions that will impact the trilogy’s resolution next year.

Now, the folks among us too lazy to play Mass Effect on the Xbox 360 before playing ME2 can also take advantage of the comic, which is now available on Xbox Live for 320 MS points. Don’t do it, though, because that just makes you lame, and you’ll miss out on some great random encounters, since the comic doesn’t involve folks like Fist, the lovely Ms. Al-Julani or the colony of Feros. Plus, ME 1 is better than ME2. So just play the game, dummy.

Still interested in the comic? Read my thoughts on it in my Mass Effect 2 PS3 review.

I don’t understand people that would not play ME1 on their own volition. It’s a crime… Really!

When I saw this in the xbox live marketplace I first thought it may be a surprise DLC mission. I laughed when I discovered it was the comic. It’s honestly not worth the points though. You would be better off just buying Mass Effect 1.

Thank every possible diety out there for this. Mass Effect 1 was fun the first time i played it. I even enjoyed it after the second. But having to play over and over to get different permotations of the story, and then playing through again to level them up to 60 so I can get the extra minerals to avoid that god aweful mini game… I only have so much time in the day and eventually I just stopped carring. This thing should have shipped with ME2 in the first place.
