'Max Payne' to Begin Filming Soon
Back in November we got word that Mark Wahlberg would be starring in the new Max Payne film. Today, the word on the street is that the film should start shooting March 2nd in Toronto, and is scheduled to wrap up on May 9th. John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, The Omen, Flight of the Phoenix) is set to direct the story of a New York cop whose wife and baby are killed by thugs high on a designer drug called Valkyr. Devastated, the cop joins the Drug Enforcement Agency and goes undercover with the mob to find the source of the drug. Framed for the murder of his partner and hunted down by both the mob and the police, he is forced to wage a one-man war against crime.
All this does is make me want to play Max Payne again. Sure Mark Wahlberg is pretty darn cute and being such a fine actor, I am sure he will do a bang up job. But since no one is really sure if the movie will follow the game‘s plot line exactly or not, the quickest and easiest way to get my dose of MP goodness is to just play both games again and stay far away from the movie until I know for sure that they have not ruined one of my heroes.
