Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Gets The Cinematic Treatment

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is out next week, and Konami wants to remind everyone that the game exists with the release of the game’s cinematic trailer, which shows Raiden at his best—armed to the teeth and packing style.

Directed by Masaya Kobayashi, the cinematic trailer begins the same way one of the previous trailers did—in a car with Raiden and some guy discussing the objectives of Raiden’s mission. It then introduces us to to each of the game’s primary antagonists, all of whom Raiden will go up against.

Laden with both story and action, the trailer gives viewers a good taste of what’s to come in the game. It’s made by Platinum Games with Kojima Productions overseeing its development, so expect a lot of violence and a heavy focus on combat with fluid controls.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is set for release next week on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. There are no plans to release the game on the PC. For PC gamers, there’s always DmC: Devil May Cry.
