Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D Won’t See Shelves Till 2012

Seems Konami is taking its time with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D by delaying it until 2012 — hopefully to get it right and not rush its conversion to a new platform and a new display mode.

Konami hasn’t given a reason for the delay, but the big discrepancy between 2012 and the November date the game originally was being planned for makes me think it’s some kind of big technical snag the developer is working through. I recently got a few minutes with the game at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and it seemed like it was in solid shape, but the demo only included the first few areas of the opening Virtuous Mission, so who’s to say whether later portions of the game are tougher to realize on the Nintendo 3DS.
