Metro: Last Light Gets a Release Date
Fans of the Metro 2033 have plenty to look forward to from the series this year with the release of the game’s sequel, Metro: Last Light. The game’s tentative release this year was cast in doubt when its publisher, THQ, went under earlier this year.
With the demise of THQ, both the game’s developer 4A Games and the title found a new home at Deep Silver, who have thankfully announced plans to keep the game’s release schedule on track.
Deep Silver and the developer announced the game’s release date over the weekend, so mark your calendars for its release on May 14 if you’re in North America or on May 17 for Europe. The game will be out on the PC and current generation consoles.
“The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary,” said Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. “We won’t leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves.”
