Metro: Last Light ‘Salvation’ Trailer Contains Executions, Violence

4A Games and the new publisher of Metro: Last Light, Deep Silver, have released a trailer for the aforementioned game titled “Salvation” which is said to focus on the game’s “rich storyline behind the game, as the last remnants of mankind hurtle towards a final, fateful reckoning.”

We presume that the reckoning can in some way be prevented by the player—unless the story decides to throw us a curveball and make the protagonist the cause of whatever ill fate is set to befall post-apocalyptic Moscow.

The trailer contains many images of violence, including executions of civilians by what appear to be post-apocalyptic Neo-Nazis. It’s definitely not for the squeamish. Watch it below.

Metro: Last Light is set for release on May 14, 2013. It’ll be out on the PC and consoles.
