Mew-Genics Has An Underground Cat Racing Circuit

Team Meat, best known for their work on Super Meat Boy, has a new game currently cooking in the oven called Mew-Genics. It’s hard to tell what the game is about, exactly, except that it involves a whole lot of cats, Team Meat’s disturbing trademark humor, and gene splicing.

Today, Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen posted an update about Mew-Genics to say that the game will feature cat races, set in a filthy sewer.

“Is your cat in shape? has he taken his pills? has he had a good nights sleep? does he have ADD? what about a few extra legs?

“Either way i think you should try your luck in the sewers and join Franks Cat Races, you could find your fortune there! or maybe a few magical poopies!”

It’s bewildering to see how the game is going to play, but we now know that it’ll involve racing in some capacity. Perhaps given the game’s supposed penchant for gene splicing and cat customization, you’ll be able to Frankenstein together a cat made for racing. The possibilities are boundless!
