Microsoft to Target Windows 8 on PC Gaming

If you read our wish list for next year, you know that I’m wishing for a resurgence by PC gaming next year. It seems that Microsoft is thinking along the same lines as I am.

TechRadar has a source that tells them Microsoft is targeting the next version of Windows squarely on gaming. The unnamed source said,

Windows 8 will represent a real new push into PC gaming. Gaming will be a key component for the whole OS.

We knew MS was starting to look PC gaming’s way again, what with the announcement of Age of Empires Online, Fable 3 for PC, and an updated Flight Simulator. The big question is this: How will Microsoft plan to dethrone Steam from atop the PC gaming heap, especially with the failure of Games for Windows Live to reach a substantial number of gamers?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Do what MS does best, bake in into the OS… like IE and WMP. Both those programs are bottom of the barrel but have huge user bases cause alota people just use whats in front of em.

Are you F@%!^ING S%@*ING another os oh come on I haven’t even upgraded to windows 7 yet WTF. I’m still on XP and now you want people that just bought a computer to buy another computer for pc gaming someone punch Bill Gates REALLY F*#%ING HARD! Come on! Wait for 3-4 years then announce it don’t go; Bill Gates says “oh ya, well, we like to tell you that we are going to have a new OS call Windows 7 so I can get more money from you people that don’t already invest enough money into my life and thank you.” Bill Gates your just being as retarded as Sony with the New Sony Phone, according to my brother(not an extremely good source of information but finds about some stuff that is very interesting)Is that PSP Phone is going to have a calling version for a phone purpose and one for gaming, don’t know if that is entirely true but if it is Sony you are so stupid for making a dumb idea or phone thingy. Super stupid when maybe most of your buyers would like to have both features, but hey you didn’t hear the rumor from me. Its almost like these rich companies themselves just like throwing money in your face and then laughing at you.
