My daddy is truly the best father in the world. He works hard but makes time for us. He gets off work around 5:00 PM most days, shops for food, comes home and cooks a wonderful meal. After we are done Mommy cleans up while Dad wrestles with me and my 4 year old brother. We call it wrestle and hide. It’s so fun to giggles and squeals while mommy cleans the kitchen. Then when my Daddy is tired he runs away fast as can be and hides quick so he can catch a breath. We run to find him and when we are close “RAhhhh” out he comes again.
I have also noticed that our house is filled with kid toys. We don’t have a big fancy boat or sound system but we are just happy as can be with all that people give us. Mom is supported and loved as a stay at home mom. She can teach us to read before we go to Kindergarten. I can go on vacation with my grandparents and mom while my poor daddy stays home to work. There’s just so much he sacrifices.
The most recent sacrifice was our trip to the humane society. We went to see if a boxer puppy mix was for us. The dog jumped on my brother enough that the society recommended we not take that dog. So we came home with a kitten instead. We’ll get a puppy later but how sweet that my daddy was willing to wait for the perfect puppy while we learn to treat animals right with a kitten.
The reason I am writing is because my grandpa just said to my mom, “You have the best father and husband right there.” I just knew it right then â$” I have the best dad in the world.
Love Adriel VanKleek (Mom wrote it from her 5 year old Adriel’s perspective.)

I think my dad is the best dad ever, yeah my mum might do the cleaning, make dinner, work as hard as she can, get me out to school and tries hard with me and my sister I am very grateful but my dad is the best because he works really hard , he works 6 days a week from 9am to half 5 sometimes later, he makes time for me and my sister, my daddy is sensible and a very reliebel person and is very special to me. He is also a very good husband.
I dont even care if i dont win the prize i just want people to know what a very brillant dad he is.
