Mind-Blowing: Star Wars Death Star Run Recreated in Minecraft (VIDEO)

I’ll never cease to be amazed by the things people make in Minecraft. We’ve seen temples of doom, recreated monuments, real architecture rebuilt of blocks and even the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-D all rendered in the virtual world.

But this video not only smacks of a painstaking attention to detail, it actually fairly well captures the feel of the sequence from Star Wars it’s meant to emulate. It’s the Death Star Trench Run sequence from the end of A New Hope, complete with the film’s audio reel running over a Minecraft machinema.

Props go to YouTube user PraiseDecay for creating it (see the appropriate YouTube channel here).
