Minecraft 1.0 to Include Enchantments

Recently Minecraft’s creator Notch mentioned that there were just two features left that he wanted to put into Minecraft 1.0. He didn’t reveal directly what those two features were, but there’s a pretty good possibility that one of them will be enchanting. Notch recently tweeted: ““How does enchanting work in Minecraft? Well, you open a magical book and pick a random spell, not quite sure knowing what it will do. MAGIC!” Is he messing with us or will items really be enchanted randomly? Notch also tweeted out a sceenshot of what appears to be an “enchanting table.” Unless he’s going through a lot of trouble to throw fans off, Enchanting is one of the new features in the upcoming Minecraft release.

The Minecraft Beta is way past 1.0, however when Minecraft is officially released, it will be Minecraft 1.0. That’s when you’ll be able to enchant things.
