Minecraft 1.1 Probably Coming ‘Tomorrow’ (Jan. 12)

So this is interesting: It seems Mojang might be updating Minecraft tomorrow to version 1.1. And that’s most of the information we have.

That’s from Jens Bergensten, Minecraft’s head developer. He said as much in a Twitter update, while also pointing out that Cobalt, Mojang’s first publishing venture, was updated to v. 101 ALPHA last week. You can see the full Cobalt change log right here.

Some changes that have been discussed in v1.1 are listed now on the Minecraft Wiki. Notable among them are new languages, the re-addition of beaches, options for choosing world type and a few other housekeeping type updates. Read the full list here.
