Minecraft Breaks 1 Million Sales As Predicted

It’s not always about graphics, marketing or investing millions of dollars — sometimes, it’s just about making a great game.

As expected, Minecraft has broken 1 million sales and it hasn’t even left beta yet. The game was released in May 2009 and has scored three Independent Game Frestival Awards nominations. It has also spawned numerous awesome videos. Apparently the urge to be creative is a big draw for players.

You can purchase the Minecraft beta today for about $23 and you’ll get the full game when it’s released. Wait, and it’ll go for about $31 — and it could be something totally different than what you’d playing today.
