Minecraft Mod Adds 33 Unique Biomes
Yesterday marked the release of a hefty Minecraft mod that adds 33 unique biomes to Minecraft. Titled “Biomes O’ Plenty,” the mod also adds some new blocks and plants, along with crafting/smelting recipes that use them.
The full list of biomes includes:
- Birch Forest
- Bog
- Cherry Blossom Grove
- Crag
- Deadlands
- Dense Forest
- Field
- Frost Forest
- Garden
- Glacier
- Highland
- Mangrove
- Marsh
- Meadow
- Mesa
- Mountain
- Mystic Grove
- Oasis
- Ominous Woods
- Orchard
- Prairie
- Quagmire
- Rainforest
- Savanna
- Scrubland
- Seasonal Forest
- Shrubland
- Spruce Forest
- Tropics
- Tundra
- Wasteland
- Wetlands
- Woodlands
Most of these biome names are self-explanatory, like the Spruce Forest, pictured in the screenshot above. The Mystic Grove is a magical land of tall trees, blue grass, and glowing flowers under a mystical golden sky. The Ominous Woods is a creepy, dark forest with swamp and redwood trees, dark purple grass and foliage, and a dark, ominous sky.
