Minecraft Pretty Scary Update Patch Notes

This year’s Minecraft Halloween update, titled The Pretty Scary Update, is planned for release around October 24th and brings with it some hefty additions and changes. It is planned to include a number of different mobs and variants, wearable and placeable heads, and a new boss: Wither.

Other additions include customizable world generation, night vision potions, invisibility potions, custom potions, and pumpkin pie. NPC villages have been improved, and villagers are more self-aware. You will also be able to restore a desolate village or create a completely new village. Villagers will have the capacity to like and dislike you, and zombies can infect villagers, turning them into zombies. Oh, and zombies can also pick items up off the ground and use them now.

Another addition is the Beacon, a block that can be placed as the final block on top of a pyramid formation made up of diamond, emerald, gold or iron blocks, and will emit a beam of light into the sky. The block may also provide 8-second buffs to players within area-of-effect.
