Minecraft Recreation of Azeroth is 24 GB and Available Now

A player-made Minecraft version of World of Warcraft’s Azeroth has just hit a beta version, which means you can torrent it right now and give it a go.

Here’s the thing, though: it’s enormous. Like 24 gigabytes when uncompressed.

That said, the Minecraft project looks absolutely amazing. A huge number of images are available right here, showing off cities, landscapes, major landmarks and more. It’s an incredible undertaking, to be sure, and according to the project’s creator, much of the process of recreating a full-scale World of Warcraft is automated with specialized software created just for the project.

Anyway, you can download the torrent here. Get on it. Just make sure to clear some hard drive space first.
