Minecraft Sales Hit 8 Million On PC
The Minecraft train, or some other metaphorical machine that cannot be stopped, keeps on chugging, and even a year past the official release of the game, it remains as popular as ever, possible even more so. How do we know? Because it’s just passed a major milestone, 8 million copies sold.
“Jeepers creepers! Crikey! Jawch! Inoffensive exclamation native to your home country,” Mojang said on their official site. “Minecraft has sold 8 million copies on PC and Mac. That’s a lot. Not as many as the The Sims 2 or Half-Life 2, but more than the Sims 2: Pets and Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty according to this page. It’s a big number, basically.”
To put that in perspective, the game has barely been advertised and it has still outsold several AAA games release since last november by several million copies. Congratulations, you lovely Scandinavian bastards.
