Minecraft: The Story of Mojang Documentary Hits YouTube

Remember the Kickstarter-funded Minecraft documentary that released almost a year ago? It has now been released for free on YouTube for all to see.

2 Player Production’s feature-length documentary, Minecraft: The Story of Mojang, chronicles the genesis of the Minecraft phenomenon. The film follows Mojang over the course of its first year and features insights from the likes of Peter Molyneux, Tim Schafer, Geoff Keighley, Stephen Totilo, Penny Arcade’s Gabe & Tycho, and even the Yogscast.

You can watch the documentary below, or head over to YouTube to fullscreen it.

For $12, you can pick up the Deluxe version of the documentary over at the official website. It includes a commentary track, a mini-documentary on the making of Scrolls, a visit with 4J Studios — the makers of the XBLA version of Minecraft — an extended interview with Notch, and deleted scenes.
