Minecraft’s Weekly Snapshot Shows Off Ocelots, Jungles

In this week’s Minecraft Weekly Snapshot, Mojang is showing off the new jungle biome that was recently announced. They’re also showing one other new addition – Ocelots.

Ocelots inhabit jungle biomes, aren’t hostile unless you smack them around, and can be tamed as pets! If you encourage them with a bit of fish, you can even get them breed. Ocelots are just one of the additions in the upcoming patch. You can see all of them in the following list:

  • New jungle-specific mob that can be tamed
  • Skeletons have new AI and a few new behaviors
  • Various minor bug fixes and changes
  • Added an experience item to creative mode
  • Added a flame item…
  • Updated language files

There’s no word yet on when the new update will hit, but as soon as we find out, we’ll be sure to let you know. Until then, you could pass the time by catching up on the Minecraft Show!
