Minimum, Recommended Thief PC System Specs Announced

Eidos Montreal has once again partnered with Nixxes, this time to co-develop the PC version of Thief. Given the quality of Nixxes’ work on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Tomb Raider, that’s good news. And now we know what type of system you’ll need to take Garrett on his new adventure.

In a post on the Eidos Montreal Community forum, Eidos and Nixxes shared the minimum and required PC system specs for Thief:

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista with platform update
CPU: High-performance dual core CPU or quad core CPU
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 4800 series / Nvidia GTS 250
DirectX: DirectX 10

Recommended Specs
OS: Windows 7 or 8
CPU: AMD FX 8000 series or better / Intel i7 Quad Core CPU
RAM: 4+ GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD / R9 series or better / Nvidia GTX 660 series or better
DirectX: DirectX 11

It doesn’t appear as if PC gamers will have any trouble with Thief. Nice to see we’ll be getting DirectX 11, though, and I’m interested in learning what other PC bells and whistles Thief will feature. I contacted Eidos Montreal for details and will update this post with any response.
