Missing Fallout: New Vegas Content Restored By Modders

After yet another report on the fact that EA thinks modders are either evil or stupid, I needed some good news to remind me that the gaming world still has something for people who don’t like Angry Birds left in it. Enter some wonderful Fallout: New Vegas Modders, who conducted an extensive investigation of content that was removed or dummied out of the final game. These clever people have restored companion characters, fixed certain levels, and plenty more.

The suite of mods necessary to enhance your New Vegas game can be found on this convenient page. Of course, there’s a huge amount still to be unlocked. A full explanation of the removed content can, and should, be read here.

FYI, these mods can also be found at New Vegas Nexus (nexusmods). They come in standalone versions as well as a full integration into the big NV overhaul mod (NVEC).
If you’ve got PC FNV, you really should give NVEC a try. Almost makes FNV a completely new game. The massive list of bugfixes and performance tweaks it contains is worth the download alone.
Also, if you’re in a modding mood, Project Nevada is an essential mod. Adds sprinting, bullet time, dynamic crosshair, integrated HUD, and too many other awesome things to list here.

And as usual, EA needs to die in a fire.

Ah Wesker, you are like the really annoying dog of the litter that everyone is surprised hasn’t died yet by impaling himself on a piece of cheese.
