Modern Warfare 3 Review Round-up
Now that Modern Warfare 3 is out, the press embargo is broken, which means the reviews are rolling in. Though the scores will likely matter little to the die-hard fans that showed up for the midnight launch, those of us still on the fence about Call of Duty appreciate a little critical insight. GameFront’s review is still in progress, but until then, tide yourself over with this mega-list:

You can tell who got paid to give good reviews when you look at the sound ratings. Most of those ratings scored sound HIGHER than Battlefield 3′s sound, anyone can tell your BF3 sounds vastly superior than MW3.

Who would think that a $60 expansion pack of MW2 using sound effects from COD4 competes with BF3? BF3 is arguably the closest thing we have to next gen right now, amazing sound, graphics, 64 player maps… Only problem with BF3 is you cannot run in on 10 year old hardware like MW3 – BUT WHATS SO BAD ABOUT THAT! I personally enjoy using my awesome rig to be awestruck by BF3
. As for MW3 – I might pay $10-20 bucks for it, as that is pretty much its value when compared to newer games on the market.

If MW3 is a 9 then BF3 is beyond 10… Sorry, games with 5+ years of dated graphics and repeated sound is not worth $60 – its an expansion pack.

Okay, so I usually always play the campaign first to get a good feel of the game and to see how the multi-player maps relate to the campaign. I played about 3 hours of multiplayer last night, and I would have to say I am very disappointed. The audio is terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE! The guns sound unrealistic, the footsteps are extremely low, so you can’t hear anyone run up on you (even with my Turtle Beach Headset). The visual effects are sub-par at best. If you could imagine graphics somewhere between WAW and MW2 I think that would sum it up. Now I know that graphics don’t entirely make the game, but if your the best series video game on the market, and the most anticipated game in history, you need to step it up! I am completely disappointed so far with this game. My only hope is that the campaign makes up for the sub par multiplayer experience. In my opinion, Bops was such a better online experience. Sooo many customization’s, great audio, awesome maps, and a good visual experience. Oh, and the other thing I don’t like about MW3 is you can’t dive!! what happened to that? Are we regressing with each game here or what?

And another thing…..Back to the graphics. I know that graphics don’t entirely make a game. You can have the best graphics in the world, but if your gameplay sucks, people are not going to play it. So, here’s my theory…If Battlefield steps up their online play, gives more options, upgrades, customizations, etc. Good bye COD, because Battlefield clearly has their sh*t together.

What a friggin joke, they should have just released a map pack instead of letting me waste 60$ on this outdated repugnant ! Very disappointed, haven’t heard one positive thing about this “game” from any of my constituents either. Which is odd considering that there is always one DUMBASS who wants to play the other side of the debate!!!

Playing MW3 was like making a booty call with a fat ugly woman………… Eventually you’ll get your rocks off, but you definitely won’t be telling your friends about the experience.

I read some user reviews on gamespot and IGN bashing this game. It got a 2.5 user rating at IGN and a 9.0 by IGN. Theyll all complain about how the graphics look the same from mw2 and how it’s the same game. These people have only touched the multiplayer. Also they can’t change the ing graphics for something better it’s the same console, until Sony and microsoft make a new one the graphics will stay the same. Also black ops sucks. Mw3 added the strike package, weapon levels and instead of buying everything for your gun without evean using it once you have to work with that gun to get attachments and camos for it. It’s a great game I give it a 9.

I’m just wondering why it took a year to copy and paste a game together. At least they added horde oops I mean survival mode ( still more fun in gears ) I thought they were gonna upgrade graphics. Just curious how such a crapload of the same stuff is considered innovative. Guess I was just expecting more. I’ll go back to series that improve every time they release another game.

I actually wished this game was good so all the Morons would stay away from the battlefield servers. The dedicated servers lol. I’m sorry but I’ve never had one “tactical” experience while playing cod. It’s all reaction time whoever gets the shots off first. Generally wins the scuffle. I like relying on my squad and team to work together and push through the enemy team. It’s too easy when it takes 30 seconds or less to traverse each multiplayer map.

Boy I’m at a loss for words. Can’t believe I paid money for this expansion pack at best. Seems like the makers could of been a bit more creative. Seems like MW2 all over again. I threw mine in the trash, literally.Guess I will stick with Black Ops till they come out with the next COD. But if you like old graphics,ty sounds and getting slayed every 2 seconds on multi player (unless you camp your ass off) MW3 is the game for you.

MW3 is the worst game I’ve ever purchased, sound effects are terrible, graphics are extremely poor! Only way to get a good kill streak is camping and even that is difficult as u can’t hear foot steps! Now on EBay to be sold, back to black ops for me folks

Furthermore, I play it on the Xbox 360 and cam very rarely even get in to a game, always saying 0/44 good games etc etc etc! Come on guys make improvements, don’t take backward steps! Disappointed buyer

I would give it a 2 out of 10. The game is horrible. It is going on eBay and I will move back to Black Ops like most everyone will probably do.

Clearly, these reviews are from paid off sites or buds. This game is SO bad and thoroughly childish its not even going to rank. it is a 1/10 for me because the graphics in the campaign are good at best. Its the expectations that were not even close to fulfilled and the Multiplayer is just an unbearable experience. It is so childish and bad and just unenjoyable, its unplayable. I’ve tried them all and they all suck REALLY bad. Even Co-Op with only 2 people you can have sucks. ITs so sad that this, to me, represents American scam. Put of crap when you know the customers are going to buy and plan on milking it by selling add ons and even adding product placements if you notice the Remingtons shine or the Oakley gloves. Just SO bad I cannot express it enough in words. The reviews will our in worse and worse. Children may like it from 5 to 15/18. Otherwise it SUCKS.

On a scale of 1-100 this game is a -100, it’s pure and utter garbage.

Umm… go pick up a copy of Battlefeild 3 pop it in and be amazed. Same console, MW3 looks like pure poop Battlefeild looks like pure gold in comparison. If you had never played a game in your life and picked up MW3 it’s possible you might like it otherwise steer clear of this jewel of the toilet.
