Modern Warfare 4 Rumor Debunked by Voice Actor

Last week, Modern Warfare 4 was allegedly outed by Captain Price voice actor Bill Murray — who we need to explain, every time we mention him, is not the Bill Murray of Ghost Busters and Groundhog Day fame. Infinity Ward denied the claim shortly thereafter, and now Murray himself is waving this off as a case of miscommunication.

Via Twitter, Murray claimed the transcription of what he said was “not accurate,” and that he told the gentleman in question that he “was doing a special new Modern Warfare for China, not MW4.”

Murray went on to write that “the guy I spoke to on the plane was very nice and I’m really pleased he loves the game but the facts have got a bit confused somewhere,” and that “I couldn’t have said I was meeting [the devs] Monday as I was on a Monday evening flight to London! Sorry for the confusion!”

The skeptic in me believes this smacks of a cover-up — what do you think?
