Like I said when I posted the very first reply under the download page, I released it in an unstable state because I didn't want to make everybody wait another decade to get to play the mod. The mod was started in 2005, abandoned in 2009, and only revived in April 2016, so since it never had a public release, I thought it best to release it and not make people wait another 10 years for it.

I will be rebuilding the complete mod from scratch, trying to fix all issues. I know now why it is crashing very often now, as I see the AI was messed up and you have to give a weapon AI code similar to other weapons with the same item index number, or the mod will crash in singleplayer if any attempt to use that weapon.

Maybe I should have waited to release the mod, but I don't like that idea, as me releasing it when I did gave players an opportunity to help me make informed decisions on how to change up the mod and balance things and add other stuff to make it better.

I am really sorry it is unstable, but at least you get to play it while I rebuild the mod from the ground up and make it more stable.

And I feel I need to make something clear, I am not the original developer or founder of the mod. I took over the mod in April 2016 because I was an old beta tester who loved the mod and didn't want this to to remain unreleased. I inherited the mod with all of the crashing problems, so a lot of that stuff was unfortunately beyond my control, and for being a noob modder, I am still learning a lot along the way, even if it is slow going. I am determined to make the mod stable, even if it takes me years.

I will never abandon this mod, it is my baby now, and I have too much invested into it to give up on it. :)

Removal of the minimap was intentional because our weapon selection icons were too big and after 6 items per kit the other items would be hidden behind the map. I have since fixed this and in our latest gameplay pictures you can now see the minimap is reenabled. I made the selection icons normal sized to all is fixed now.

Hey bro, I can understand how you feel. I have also designed a mod for Operation Flashpoint CWA and it is very complicated to run everything correctly, more if it is a project faced by few people (in my case it was only one person).

It's a shame because Battlefield Korea has excellent graphics quality, realism and a lot of weapons. I could only play 1 single map with bots for a couple of minutes until this map made me a CTD, but I could see the quality and work that was put into the mod. That's why I say it's a shame that it is so unstable, but it's a great achievement that the mod has come so far and everything done by so few people. I was very happy when I saw that the mod had not died, since I was waiting for it since 2008.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm sure that when the CTD of the mod is solved this will be one of the best mods in Battlefield 2, along with FH2, PR, EoD2, BGF and OPK.

        Regards!

Gracias amigo. Yeah, I have only been modding for about a year and a half now, so still not as enlightened as I would like to be.

I can say one thing though, we are one of the most unique mods. Not a lot of games even attempt to show what the Korean War was about. Especially not another single FPS that takes place during the war.

You know, it is really surprising when you stop and think about it. America is constantly threatened by North Korea in the media daily, yet, there are no FPS games showing off the Korean War that made North Korea hate the US/UN so much.

You would think that at least a Call of Duty or Battlefield game would touch the subject. They are both running out of ideas now, so it is only a matter of time I suppose before we see a proper FPS from them based in the conflict.

Got nothing to apologize for! Even some of the very big mods started somewhere!

Do you have any other mirrors besides ModDB? My download keeps getting corrupted.

I do not sorry. It shouldn't be corrupted at all.
