Hey Mortecha, I really like the look of this project. I'd be glad to help if you needed any.

Since this is an open source project, anyone is more than welcome to help out. However before that can happen I'm spending about a month on laying a solid foundation for this approach to be successful.

This game or mod is obviously not for me then, if this going to be like the new games. I hate Eidos interpetation of Deus ex.

Why did you judge it so early? As i already know the developer is not working from eidos and he tries to improve the environment of deus ex because it is not as futuristic as it should be...
And i do not see the prequels as failures, they have nice setting, plot and gameplay(and engine). If another company took the rights i believe they could have made it worse and destroy the series. But i see invisible war as a failure however imo it has one of the best plot in cyberpunk pc games.

Because Deus ex is not supposed to look that futuristic in the first place. It was supposed to look close to the present and the technology was meant to look retrofuturistic. The prequels being way more advance then the first game and invisible war is just extremly inconsistent with the lore. Also about the prequeals. The plot feels like bad fanfiction and the gameplay is too easy.

This is the wrong place to vent your frustration about the franchise. Join a forum and do it there.

I'm sorry for putting venting my fustration in the comments. I will try to control my temper next time and I did not meant to start a debate in the comments. It would be interesting to see how your version of deus ex looks, even if i'm not a fan of the new games, but since this is free then i guess there would be no harm in at least trying it out.

    Looks pretty good so far.

Will there be any of the stuff that GMDX improved upon and added?

Possibly, but these are two completely seperate things so any similarities would be merely coincidental.
