Hi. Last time you informed me that you had run out of slots for new factions. But I remembered, that can be still you write. I write here and not on the forum because it's convenient.
Your position is also clear. But you reported that you had removed the Ents faction? The idea is there 1 place to get free?
If not, an alternative can be proposed. To do as in any other mod, factions Bree and Dunedain one faction. From their Association, in fact, anything globally will not change, but again, there will be 1st place, under which I would again proposed the creation of a faction of clans Minhiriath. I argue why.
On the West of the map there are 5 factions, 4 of which are allies (of Lindon, the dwarves of the Blue mountains, Bree, Dunedain), and the fifth clan of Enedwaith.
If Dunedain and the dwarves of the Blue mountains protect the other two from Angmar, and Bree periodically fights with Clans or Dunland, Lindon most of the time just cool off, surrounded by allies who do everything for him. By and large, all these 4 allied factions do not experience great difficulties during the game.
Thus, the Lindon is located in a very convenient position and which practically no one to fight, get 2 of the enemy on the South-East direction (clans Minhiriath and Enedwaith). The same goes for Bree and the Dunedain, Isengard and Dunland, Rohan and Gondor. For whom life would also become more complicated, and, therefore, the intrigue in the entire Western region would increase. Because both factions of the clans would be allied, but could beat any of the directions.
With regard to canonicity, it is quite logical. The region of Dunland is much smaller than Enedwaith or Minhiriath. In Dunland were the inhabitants and the troops.
It would be strange to assume that on large expanses of Enedwaith and Minhiriath residents lived less than Dunland.
If Bree merge from Dunedain, this faction will only benefit from this, as it will combine the remnants of the dúnedain and the detachment of mercenaries, who uses Bree.
The Lindon still be safe. And if you make clans Minhiriath more orderly and organized than Enedwaith, in consequence of the past in which they were a part of Arnor and retained some of their knowledge about the military, forge deeds, they will be a good test for Lyndon and Dunedin (with bree). Anedit of course also was a part of Arnor, thus, both of the region without much joy took the crown. But the people of Enedwaith lost knowledge, and Minhiriath the tribes have retained some "achievements".
In addition, if to make them more powerful than the clans of Enedwaith, to balance a smaller population. The reason is again easy canon. Minhiriath touched the plague, arranged by the Witch-king, in consequence of which, a significant part of the population died. But, of course, these events were a long time ago, so the region, of course, revived in terms of numbers, though not as much as Enedwaith, and more resembled in the number of inhabitants of Dunland.
uhm guys a little help pls? everytime i play a battle on campaign i get crashes saying "graphics settings to high" or something like that and that pops up everytime i finish a battle in campaign. what are the causes of these crashed? am i missing something? hopeful for a quick reply asap, thanks!

Why not type in version 2.5?
You can enter separate fraction of the same dwarf Orocarni, here it would cost. They would create tension in the East, which in fact does not exist. Then, it would be to add the faction clans Minhiriath as an ally clans of Enedwaith and make them neutral hostile to all others (Lindon, Bree, Dúnedain, Dunland, Isengard, Rohan, Gondor).
In the new version 2.0, you decided to remove the faction of Umbar corsairs, and instead add "People of kings", whose task will be to capture some land in the beginning.
The idea is not bad, but in my opinion, it would be better to leave Umbar a separate faction. Umbara though ruled black numenors, but they were only the ruling elite.
But the "People's kings" it would be possible to give the legend that they arrived by sea from the southern lands, which by Tolkin, of course, was with the aim to retake their old land that they had taken "faithful." Given that the kings of numenor staged large military campaigns across the Middle-earth and founded colonies far beyond all known parts of Middle-earth, the number of "People's kings" was much higher than the number of "true". Loyal surpassed the number of black numenorean only, again, in a small part of middle earth where the events took place the books. And in these regions of black numenor really remained a little.
At the same time, to make this faction neutral-hostile to all.
What do you mean by "why not type in version 2.5"? Are the things you are suggesting in this post what you suggest we do for DaC V2.5?
We do not have faction slots left to add new factions and don't plan to add any more factions other than the Reunited Kingdom.
The Umbar faction was turned into the Ar-Adunaim faction so we still used the same Umbar faction slot and just made some changes to give a new look and starting position/setup for the Ar-Adunaim faction since as V2.0 was being developed we were making more and more changes to Umbar to give it some Black Numenorean themes but then decided it would be best to make it more unique and not just be Black Numenorean starting in Umbar but instead BN's from the far south returning north (although a small amount).
We will not add Orocarni. We can't even expand the map anymore because we've already reached the limit and you cannot add onto an existing map. We'd have to re-create the map and we won't do that.
We already have Orocarni units for the Erebor faction by the way and the Blue Wizards script for Khand gives you two armies of Orocarni Dwarves, each led by a Blue Wizard, if you choose the good side.

If you want to make your own edits to your personal game and change factions and change descriptions then that's fine and feel free to do it. If you even want to make a sub-sub-mod of DaC with those changes, that's fine too. We allow that because we can't make everything everyone wants since everyone wants something different and we the mod team have our own vision so we are making what we want.
So, feel free to make your own edits :).
I saw in the video walkthrough that there was an event on the 45th move - Khand took a side. Are there any similar scripts during the game? No time to watch all the videos
So, there are two new major scripts coming in DaC V2.0. The Blue Wizards Script (Khand Choice Script) and the Bree Choice Script.
The first script gives player and AI Khand the option to choose the good side (Blue Wizards) or remain loyal to the evil side (Mordor) and depending on what you choose you'll get different rewards and challenges.
The second script gives player and AI Bree the choice to either become more independent and more mercenary focused (thus reducing the alliance with the Northern Dunedain) or become more entangled with the Northern Dunedain. You get rewards and face some challenges depending on who you side with.
Those are the two choice scripts present right now. We wanted to do a 3rd choice script for Ered Luin but we don't have the time to create it and implement it by the time we aim to release DaC V2.0. So, that will have to wait for after V2.0.
Can I change the name of the faction? Or change the emblem of the faction Rangers of the North? and green and somehow prominent in the background of the white stars entirely - not canonical
Sure, you can make edits to your personal version of DaC. You'll just have to learn which files need to be edited. I don't know since I am not experienced with the general file-editing/setup of the game. However, if you go to Total War Center's Medieval 2 Modding Workshop, you should find guides and tutorials on how to edit the game.
One important thing you must use is the text editor called Notepad++ (which is free). That program is used by DaC for all the text file editing so you must use it too or else you may experience problems. For example, the default Windows Notepad program adds hidden text/data inside each file and that messes up the file and can cause problems and crashes so use Notepad++.
