Pirates, Vikings, and Knights (PVK) is a Half-Life modification (MOD) focused on bloody, frantic, multiplayer melee action. Three teams of warriors from historical eras compete for either booty or blood. Unlike other MODs, PVK focuses on melee weapons rather than projectiles. Whereas most MODs regard melee weapons as mere "back-ups", PVK is focused on close-range combat. This results in some really intense gameplay and some really intense yelling and screaming at 2:00 AM. We would like some input on how our ideas fare with the Half-Life community. Play the friggin' game, and give us some feedback so we can make it better.
Beta 0.6 (bug fix release)
-Replaced crosshairs so they are now transparent
-New maps added: harbor
-Tweaked castle and colosseum maps
-Game tweaks and bug fixes:
Musketoon now shoots buckshot and is more powerful
Pistol accuracies tweaked up
Skirmisher pirate is faster and sniper pirate is slower
Removed the "drop" command for weapons
Heavy knight holds two handed sword properly
-FGD updated with ammo
-Skirmisher pirate now has his own model

-I think that's it, hope i didn't forget anything...
-Vikings are not yet included in this beta. Well, you can play as them and walk around as a viking with a helluvalotta health, but they have no weapons.
-"Booty" gameplay mode has not been enabled for pvk_castle and gladiator gameplay mode has not been enabled for colosseum.
-No bowman player model. For this release, they'll look like another member of the same team. There is also only one viking model for all classes.
-Not all animations are completly perfected yet, and may not even all be there.
-Wierd thumb textures for pirates.
-Wierd tweaked wrists for rifle-stocked weapons.
-When you use the changeclass or changeteam commands, the video loops you flying or something. It's kinda weird, but doesn't affect any gameplay.
