if you decide to use the vines could you use/create a version without the texture out of sync with the view of the inside
Thanks for your interest, but I won't be using the vines as it is not a period accurate texture, the game would have used the cyan and purple portals around the nova prospekt look.
Those have the same problem
The mods looking amazing so far! One suggestion I have is to fix the parts on the world model for the gun where you can see through the model. Also, the x06 particles can be fixed. look at the dev console and you can see what's wrong. The names of the particle parts aren't what they need to be. Looking really good overall though!
You are aware that Valve and Nuclear Monkey Software completely dropped the idea of making Narbacular Drop in the source engine, and decided to make something different, right?
Yeah I do, I just realized to make the maps for an add on "campaign" to do after the actual main game.
It's doing great. Just to let you know, the crosshair around that time would of been cyan and purple, and not blue and orange. You might wanna change the portal gun particles, like the ones that shoot out of the gun, delete the fireballs. backlight problem, again. don't worry, it will still turn out to be a great mod. Love the work.
I changed the portals to vines, and fixed the gun anims and sprites, all that needs to be done is the crosshair color swap, aswell as the rest of the maps
Yeah, needs some work with the crosshair, particle sprites and all that standard stuff. Are chambers 5, and 9 custom made, or were those officially made by Valve?
Chambers 5 and 9 are custom made (still need a lot of work too) and I'm still working on the crosshair.
