Republic at War

Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption mod |

Follow 5139

Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Huh... Battle of Bothawui in the Clone Wars? Youtube.com I forgot this existed. I would hope that official Star Wars canon would feature Bothans sometime during the Galactic Civil War sometime. I feel like the Bothans are almost being forgotten by the Disney canon especially in which they were first revealed by the words of Mon Mothma in Episode 6.

Question of the week: What is the best use of using transports by your experiences playing FOC or RAW?

In RAW I also choose LAAT. It's very useful in assaulting enemy's positions, transporting units from one landing zone to other and destroying destroyers and spider droids. Also I am using them for fun to transport heroes to my "HQ" on the battlefield.

As for FOC most of transports are useless. The only quite usefull only one I am using is juggernaut.

You know what is also cool that during skirmishes... If you have an ally AI team up. Your allies' heroes and infantry units would go to your transport units, so you can send them to the battlefield too! I witnessed an ally AI Obi-Wan go to my Republic LAAT, so I can drop him off where he is needed!

In RAW, LAAT gunships are great because even if the enemy have AA guns, they miss on occasion, giving you a chance to drop off the troops and support by eliminating the troopers weaknesses such as Anti-Infantry guns or vehicles. Although Turbo Tanks help with transportation, I feel like the LAAT can help more against Destroyer Droids or AATs. The AT-TE is more to protect a high-value unit like a Commander or Hero.

In FOC, the consortium transport is the only one I ever used on occasion. While cloaked, I run over infantry because the player won't notice them. Then, drop them off in a priority structure like a shield generator.

I literally only use LAATs. Drop off a squad of AT-RTs to help clear light enemy resistance, and then have them take point with LAATs following works almost every time, especially because of that AA gun bug you mentioned. If you fly them backwards, they'll hit the ship, but if they just stay still the AA guns will always miss

    Hey everyone.
First of all I want to say that I'm loving this mod so far, I've been playing it for a couple weeks and everything is great. However, I'm having a problem when trying to save my games in GC.

I have the retail version of the Gold Pack. Sometimes it won't let me save because "there is not enough available disk space", other times it will just crash if I try to save. Worst part is that sometimes the file I'm trying to overwrite gets deleted. I of course have more than enough space in my hard drive. I've also tried to run the mod (the icon that it creates when you install it) as an adiministrator with no avail, I've also tried to run the mod via a mod loader, which doesn't seem to do anything other than running the mod (I've also tried to run the mod launcher as an admin). I'm not sure if that even does something, as I've read that that only works when running the Steam client as an admin, which wouldn't even be applicable for me.

I read in another forum that "you must seperate the save-files on one or two saveponits for FoC and some others only for RaW" in order to fix it, but I've no idea how to do that. I think it has something to do with that because when I open my save/load menu, the saves that I created when playing vanilla FoC are there, and as far as I've seen in some youtube videos, they are not supposed to be there.

I hope someone can help me, because this is starting to upset me. I just spent 30 minutes in a battle and it didn't let me save when I finally won, plus it also deleted the file I created before commencing the battle (the one I tried to overwrite).

I know that this may be a dumb question, but how do i create the Imperial Star Destroyers, not the victory classes but the Star destroyers,I read somewhere that you can't and you can only get them once when you do order 66 and get 3, but when i played as the CIS, the republic kept spamming me with more than 3 of Star Destroyers, help
    Thanks

What you read is correct. For some reason, only the AI can build them in GC. Once you lose the three you are given, there is no way to replace them nor is there a way to build more.
