STALKER Complete 2009 (2012)

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl mod |

Follow 2225

If you haven’t played 2007’s most immersive and atmospheric shooter, or you’re back for replay, this mod is for you. This is the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. like you’ve never seen before, with updated graphics and added functionality that don’t change the original story or gameplay. The game hasn’t been changed beyond recognition, but rather enhanced while preserving the core elements that made it the unique experience it is.

I like teleporting rather than spending forever walking, or being stuck unable to sell extra firearms to random people.

However, it crashes when I talk to the barkeep.

If you teleport all the time, you'll miss out greatly on random firefights, you may miss some fallen unique NPC's lying somewhere leaving unique weapons behind - and you'll miss a great deal of what makes the game's great atmosphere.

I'd strongly recommend NOT to teleport all the time. Often the walk may be boring, but sometimes it will reward you with sheer awesomeness. In this game, the journey is the reward.

I have walked through the entirety of garbage several times, fought off the bandit raid in the train area three times and the other area twice.

How many times have I liberated the small outpost where the guy with the flash-drive was tied up? Six times.

I am constantly carrying so much stuff, I have to use artifact after artifact to carry it all. I have to aimlessly walk till I find someone with any cash to sell this stuff too, but nope, everyone is broke now.... And the barkeep doesn't work....

So I either move three maps to the trader at the start or move three maps to get to the ecoligist.

I am stuck doing this every time I pick up three M16s.

Why do I constantly pick stuff up and haul it a huge distance to get paid? I need the money, everything is ten or twenty time what I sell it for. If I sell a rifle for a thousand, it's ten or twenty thousand to buy.

I am really starting to hate this game, and this mod actually in some respects makes it worse.

I'm stuck carrying a shotgun for close encounters because I have to have the Swiss rifle for sniping and that gun is horrible up close.

However, the shotgun always runs dry, so I am stuck carrying the Big Ben as a backup or an MP5.

Oh and I have a duty and an ecoligist suit.

Granted, I could park a lot of this stuff where the ecoligists are, but that would mean a lot more teleporting.

Oh and it takes three shots from the Big Ben to kill a dog. I know this because the dog will rush me, get right up in my face and I will dump four rounds in it to kill it.

I'm also aiming down sights with the handgun and the dog is not moving, at least three of those shots hit the dog.

On top of that, the Swiss rifle is super vauable in real life and better than the M16, but in game it's worthless if you want to trade it. Clearly this means the people in the game are all smoking crack.

Oh and dogs send me flying through the air. I had two playthroughs were I had two bloodsuckers, a bunch of mice, a shitload of dogs, and various other animals all attack me at once....

They ran past a few Duty members, who were shooting at them, to attack and kill me.

I went flying into the air somehow, which killed me.

Just increase your carry weight to 150 and increase your stamina too via editing those files(system.ltx and actor something). Then install the SC realistic weapons add on. Problem solved.

I looked up the specific error I have, but apparently that is par for the course for the game unmodded.

      Then I saw this gem.

"Jamison [has S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl] Feb 20 @ 5:43pm
The "Stalker Complete" caused my game to crash quite often, no matter where I was. Uninstalled the game and mod, then reinstalled the game vanilla style. No problems after that."

And yeah, as much as I like this mod, I had no issues at all before it and now I have dogs lauching me into the air.

I keep installing Complete and the Gear Pack to a completely clean version of STALKER, 1.0005, but it is NOT having it. Every time I try, it just crashes right when the game is supposed to finish loading/cut to the game world.
