Open task manager and kill x_ray process.
It happens from time to time even with vanilla game that game engine just hangs in memory doing nothing. That prevents you to start another instance of game.

It happens more often on newer version of windows 7,8 or 10.

Lots of dedication, patience, trials, fails, successes, small margins, an old art-form, and, of course, the protagonist himself: one of our most honorable coders, veteran member of MDT, Mr. Kobayashi.
(of course, now I totally get his moddb profile image :) )

I have added instructions for customizing what is retained on the actor when you drop the QRS (Quick Release System) to my hints and tips page Moddb.com

So, if you want a particular item or two to be kept because your particular style of game play makes it essential, or you just think it is more fun - mod away :)

The weapons list pdf says that the FAMAS and an AKS-74U with a dot sight are in the game, but I haven't seen either of them. I'm at the last two or three missions now, should they be sold at traders or do I have to search around?

      AKS-74U --- Koryagi sometimes has this weapon.https://youtu.be/FWCc5VikU-o?list=PLabFrQQ9QVaOlJluA8BU4RuIwwA0vwoXq&t=212

And FAMAS on sale appears sometimes, sometimes you can find it in corpses

No idea. I spawned every single weapon for testing when I made the spreadsheet. I would guess they are random drops on bodies, and random availability at traders when their inventory rotates later in the game.

Pretty funny ;) Also a great demo on how to not use the wrong tool for the job starting with not using 7zip, as instructed, to woefully inadequate weapons for the target/situation and the painful results. I like the sound track too :)

WinRar, or any other unzipping utility, could potentially corrupt files when unpacking; problems may not show up for some time, and may not be repairable. That's why we specify 7Zip.

I'm using WinRar for years now, and I never had any kind of issue.

I have been using WinRar for everything for years, and as I said, I never had any problems or corrupt files.

Here, about Misery 2.2, Jasper told you that with 7zip archives only the only tool that is curruption-free is 7Zip. Obviously for other archives (.zip and .rar) WinRAR is great.

That's fine, but I'm not downloading more software, just to be able to curruption-free (which might or might not even matter) unzip (or "unpack") a 7zip-file. Also, I know of 7zip-files, and I've unzipped them before without any problems. Maybe some people have some issues, because their software or drivers are outdated, but I'm doing just fine with WinRar.

LOL , great video - for some unknown reason it made me appreciate MISERY even more .

I was using WinRAR always before ... never had problems . Now I use BANDIZIP - its fully freeware and can open all types of archives .
