Star Wars Battlefront mod |

Star Wars: Battlefront Legacy is a mod for the original Star Wars: Battlefront dedicated to upholding the franchise's legacy, from the original games, portable titles, cancelled works to the recent reboot of the franchise. Not to be confused with the brilliant work-in-progress mod for Sar Wars: Battlefront II, titled Star Wars: Battlefront III Legacy.

    >>Thank you for this, i just reinstalled BF 1 and I like it though I have BF 2, there seems to be an elegance to 1 and many of its maps I like over 2. <<

After watching Clone Wars and Rebels, had to hunt my SWBF1 disks... STILL WORKS on Win 8.1!!!

I agree with GUEST, the HOTH map still gives me chills if REBEL and if waiting by the generators, then seeing the Imperial Walkers coming lumbering into view over the horizon.

What is UP with Darth Vader, he jumps around a lot, look fearsome but has low amount of kills like two or three where Luke gets 25 or more, I think Vader's light-saber is from Kmart or something. I have a mod I used before this and Vader had force push and got like 20-30 kills easy per match.

Sides seem more closely matched, on Cloud platform vanilla as rebel, easy victory and Hoth as well, now with this mod its close on the platforms with rebel advantage and Hoth is very hard to win as rebel. Geo spire still hard for the clones to win, however they are less depleted when they lose than before.

FYI And YES, I hope SW Battlefront 1 will eventually come to STEAM or GOG.

I'll be fixing Vader with the next patch over the Easter break (as I'm a student and am only able to currently chip away at small things at a time).

As for Battlefront being on Steam, I don't think that's likely: apparently they don't have access to the source code needed to make it compatible with Steam (though I know the source code is in the hands of certain developers from the original game)

There is no Steam version of the original game. This mod is not for Star Wars Battlefront II.

Thank you very much for this great mod. Battlefront 1 is one of my favorite star wars games and you managed to bring some new life in it in a brillant way, very good work :-) !!!

Can't wait to see what's coming next. I have a question for you : do you plan to mod textures to improve them in the future ? If not, can you tell me if another good mod is doing that and if it is compatible with yours.

Thank you in advance, and keep up the good work !

I have a bug where my character becomes the low rendered version of the units and it's all choppy. It happens often and, while it isn't game breaking, it's annoying. Do you have a fix for it?

Unfortunately this is down to the optimization, or lack thereof, of the PC version. It will happen when you have the original game with no mods installed.

You can't fix it. There is no mod that can do that, as it's something to do with the memory limits within the game's executeable file itself. Unless you have the source code - which I know some of Pandemic's ex-devs have, and I know EA has, so I know we'll never be able to get it - or you are somebody who knows their way around cheatengine so you can find the memory pools in the compiled exe, you can't change it.
