Whenever I try to run any of the applications, I get a windows security alert saying "These Files Can't Be Opened" "Your Internet Security Settings prevented one or more file from being opened". Got any advice? I've already tried reseting my IE security options, and running as admin.

Yep as Beefybills said, it will be here very soon.

Apologies if it seems like it's taking a bit longer than expected, a few issues had risen along the way, and also as a result BeefyBills has recently and most kindly been beta testing for me, and helping me out a lot with refining my download package to make it as easy to follow as it can be. :)

I'm going to be uploading it over night. Should be ready tomorrow morning.

Thank you for sticking with us, and for your patience. But it should be well worth it. Just wanted to make sure the launch is as issue free as possible. :)

Alright guys, version 3.0 will release hopefully just after the new article I've just written up publishes.

-It is a meaty article, but it is a very important one, and will prepare you for the download package.

-Don't worry if the article seems a little bleh in terms of understanding, I don't really expect anyone to know most of what I'm talking about. It's one of those things that after you read the article, you'll be like "huh?" and then when you see the download package's contents you should get it.

-I don't know though, as the article will say, if you have any issues or questions about the stuff in the article/download package (when either release) let me know. PLEASE I ENCOURAGE IT. (Contrary to what someone who comes to my thread angrily, disrespectfully, sarcastically or rudely will tell you).

Be kind/respectful or even just neutral to me, and i'll respond in kind.
Do the opposite, cuss me out, be rude, sarcastic or whatever...Then what do you want me to do...

Very well constructed article, informative and professional.

By the way, just wanted to ask if you and I are in different time zones. I'm in southern USA, you don't have to tell me where you are, just wanted to know.

        Thank you ;)

Yeah we're different time zones. We're a couple hours off from each other. That's probably why I might not always instantly see and be able to reply to your comments until like a day later.

    Hello everyone,

yes I shut down my old thread.

Just basically in short because I really wanted to just re-do a lot of stuff organizationally speaking, and start simplifying things for everyone in future. In order to do that, I found it faster to just tear it all down and make something fresh.

A while ago I announced come Star Wars Celebration...Much more stuff is coming...

I am happy to announce that these mods are now a part of what I am now calling the "Star Wars Graphics Enhancer Series"...

This mod series will cover MANY or even all of the best games that Star Wars has to offer.

V(3.0) of SWBFII is complete and using a whole new setup whereby one can easily use toggle buttons (Such as to toggle effects, cinematic borders) and also a configuration menu whereby one can customise whatever they want. (Alternate presets are still included for those who don't feel comfortable messing with stuff).

I'm setting back up a whole new thread so bear with me.

The download packages for v3.0 (which will also include 2.0), and new threads based on this series for games like the original Battlefront 1, and Republic Commando have also been completed as well and will release soon.

Republic Commando has a very special fix I discovered a long time ago which I will elaborate on in that thread. Basically I found a way to get it running in directX 9.0 and 11, with Post-FX, without the game reverting back to DirectX 8.0 (which was actually the game's DEMO mode, which would cause visual bugs and performance issues majorly, when trying to use Reshade), and which was a bug that would happen when trying to use Reshade the generic way and labeling the .dll files to get the program working...

Basically my aims are now to make instructionals, and offer set up tips, Control Panel Tweaks and Post-FX injectors to completely organise, remaster and get your old classic running and looking beautifully again by modernizing them better.

      Ahhhhh, I getcha.

P.S. 3.0 looks amazing, it's incredible how you made all these modern effects work on such a old game. By the way, how do you feel about EA BF2?

Dude look. Already another troll reviewer.

Read it and have a laugh. I cannot believe it. I haven't even done anything on this thread yet.
And apparently I didn't listen to feedback on my last thread. Hence why I made alternative presets for every main preset version based on people's feedback...

Oh and apparently I'm rude because apparently I'm the guy reviewing another person's mod deliberately bad even though they admit it's good...

Again not a troll; well respected modder within the community.

I said it in the review but I'll say it again, deleting a mod and previous reviews directly invalidates the concerns of other members of the community. also my concerns over your apparent lack of respect towards other members stands firms, whether or not it was on this thread or not it was there, and it is something that I feel needs to change.

I also did state my review can change more positively should I see change (which I haven't) because based on the mods progress and detail is rate it higher (7 or 8).

I'm pretty sure I remember him, it was like only a couple days after I started the mod a fair while ago...

I remember in the conversation he in a rude and sarcastic demeanour was demanding I put credits in (which I always had), and that I should put that EA Battlefront preset in the EA section (fair enough)...

With regards to the 2nd thing, I simply explained to him once, that I couldn't, as there was no "Battlefront EA:2015" game section in the "Mods" section. There was only one in the "Games" section, and furthermore it was more convenient for those that requested it, that it be on my BFII thread alongside the other BFII preset which was blatantly labelled. -Furthermore, I explained over and over, if I could, I would do it. But I couldn't, but his feedback was noted at that time.

He then came back at me a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and who knows how many times after that over and over, simply rudely and sarcastically saying the same thing over and over. "My point still stands, you need to do that, do it, do it, rah rah rah"...

I kept trying to explain it to him as I did and he'd just keep on in a smart alec way saying the aforementioned line and more, getting progressively more and more aggressive.

So he was sarcastic to me, and then I gave it back to him and simply said "read my comments again" and that I didn't know what else to say.

I guess that 1 thing is just sooooo important it warrants being rude even further and posting a review like he's just done for a 2nd time now...

Apparently I'm rude though. Apparently I'm just such an aggressive person.

Do you see me down voting his stuff deliberately bad?

I'd love to see an actual example of where I've been rude/disrespectful at that time or elsewhere...

But I guarantee you if he tries, he'll chop up and edit an image and ignore all the things he said to me before hand.

Hrm, triggered BF2 (Original) fan? Or just a blatant hater?

Or did he misunderstand something? I hope he can clear this up for us.

Honestly, if he continues to be unreasonable, (Ignoring, not stating legitimate facts about something wrong with you or your mod, or just plain hating for no reason, etc.) there is nothing you can do besides ignore him. Since he won't say how to put his gripes to rest, if he does, however, explain what you can do to sooth his anger, I would advise you, as a professional and helpful content creator, to see what you can do.

Absolutely. I'm just waiting for him to tell me what it is he wants first lol.

Soon as he has a legit bit of feedback or help request (rather than simply saying "oh he's rude, he's disrespectful he doesn't listen to feedback" (maybe he's upset he's having install issues or something, or whatever else problem one might have and needs help...) I'll gladly help.

The demeanor of such help will depend on his as per always.

He won't he's too rude, disrespectful and aggressive (i'm using his logic right now).

I've already offered him an opportunity whereby we could "bury the hatchet"...Still haven't heard anything...

If he really is a well respected modder within the community as he stated earlier, he would step forward and instruct you on how he can bury the hatchet with you. If he won't, continues to act spitefully and blatant disregard towards your gracious attempts at friendship, he is an obvious troll, and must be treated as such. (Ignore him, and suppress hateful comments unless he is actually asking for help.)

How about you listen to my feedback...

-Remove/change your review and prove you're not a troll. We can shake hands (virtually speaking) and if ever you actually have anything for me to listen to other than "oh he's rude and doesn't listen"...I WILL HELP YOU.

Honestly I'm a forgiving person. Whether you are remains pending after you read the following:

We CAN bury the hatchet...I'm open to doing so if you're up for that.

Again I don't know what the beef is all I've ever done is try my best to help.

I am a reflection of the energy people give me...If people come to me angrily, sarcastically, dishonestly, smart alecly- or otherwise I will treat them as such.

However if you are respectful, and conduct yourself in well-manner I will treat you like a King. Plain and simple...

        So.

        I propose you this...

If there have been any issues you've been having, I offer you my support. Change your review to your professed "8"...

We can bury the hatchet, we can clear our comments and move on.

        Sound good?

Ok and I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

-I did not delete my previous thread because of trolls like the what you're being right now. I deleted it because it was far easier to contact moddb and simply have them clear it out so I can start over, then EDITING every individual thing I've posted.

-I needed a clean start so I can start a new idea. A SERIES to unify all of my future work. So I've been working on reconstructing the thread.

-How can I possibly have a "lack of respect". You don't deserve respect. You're a troll. All you've done is stalk all of my stuff and claim "I don't listen to feedback and am rude"...When all I've done is do just that. Listen to feedback and spend my time helping in any way that I can.

-I've provided multiple alternate presets and versions based on PEOPLE'S FEEDBACK to accommodate any grievances. I've spent hours talking to people who've had trouble with installations/bugs etc...and NEVER had any complaints...

        -IT IS JUST YOU.

-You have never posted anything for me to even hear. Hence I can't possibly "listen to feedback" coming from you. BECAUSE THERE HASN'T BEEN ANYTHING.

-Other than of course, you running to the reviews section and stating "oh he's rude, he doesn't listen to feedback".

-If there is something you want me to do ASK ME FOR IT AND WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT.

-Also there never were any "valid concerns of the community" ever contained in my old threads reviews.

All there was, was one guy who glued to my thread page that "Harrison's is better" with no actual reason as to why...

And people from that thread deliberately coming to mine and dropping ridiculously low scores and saying "hah delete that b**** " and name calling.

THERE NEVER WAS ANY "VALID COMMUNITY GRIEVANCES".

        Cheers.

        Um...Not sure tbh.
I'm glad but was not surprised they decided to add multiple era's back in. As I always said in my mind, if they didn't do that, they know they've already flopped.

I'm also glad that APPARENTLY (I heard i'm not 100% sure this is true though but I think it is), that all the DLC is free and no season pass. Beautiful.

        Unique class system is BEAUTIFUL.

But these things are really not to be praised. We had them (no DLC + multiple era's + classes) 16 years ago lol.

-The space stuff is looking great for sure though hands down. The brief description on the website seems very promising. "Take down capital ships". 3>

        HOWEVER
        I will be sold if:

        -No star cards.
-Get in/out of vehicles (e.g. to repair them).

-Better fighter combat (no lock on b.s. and it does all the work. i.e. give us a free aim system like the originals).

-Better lightsaber hero combat (needs to be like the original battlefronts AT LEAST, however i'd love it if it was something in the free flow style of the Jedi Outcast/Academy series).

-Also. There needs to be Offline bot support for ALL of the content for which there is a multiplayer component. E.g. skirmish in the last game needed more modes (apart from just Walker Assault), and the DLC content with bots.

-If there is no such bots I just won't be buying it. The servers die too quickly these days, and I don't want to have to rely on the off chance a server exists to get my moneys worth...

        BUT

Overall, I think they've made a good start...But I need to see those other things I mentioned start getting confirmed.
