Loving the mod. I do have an idea when it comes to multiculturalism though.

I don't know if this is possible but perhaps there can be a decision or reform to lower assimilation and represent "cultural mosaic" style policies.

For example in countries like Canada where the policy is to encourage people to maintain their traditions while integrating, which differs from the US's "melting pot."

Perhaps there could also be a decision in the 90s for Canada to create Nunavut, which won't add another state to the game but will instead add a modifier to each province within the area of Nunavut lowering assimilation since about 80% of Nunavut's population is inuit. Perhaps with multiculturalist countries militancy can be lowered for non-accepted cultures and there could be some other things to make it beneficial. Ofcourse the "melting pot" should still be viable.

There's a lot of reforms and political systems that limits assimilation already as well as religious systems designed for Islam for example it's almost impossible for Sunni Arabs to switch to another culture or even religion.

Oppression and other reforms also limits assimilation. The issue isn't assimilation, but population moving. Immigrants that move to a country almost quickly become naturalized culture of accepted or primary culture thus even if you limited Inuit culture from being assimilated the high rates of Anglo or French White will dominate and remove the population as a primary regional group anyway.

This sadly shows the reality, the Inuits and other Native Americans are doomed as their very small population is unable to compete to survive against the much larger Anglo-French population. Even if they are added as an accepted culture through event like in Denmark the population would rapidly become Anglo or French or the population would be squeezed to a sad minority never to dominate or have strong regional culture again.

This shows during the recent removal of Inuit in Denmark that half or more of the natives were assimilated or pushed out by the much larger non-native primary culture. The very same will happen in Canada, but will take a little longer.

Mod has installed okay, can load up the game but when I select a country and click 'play' the game crashes on adapting history.

Make sure you have Victoria 2: Heart of Darkness version 3.04.

Clear all your caches deleting them in main Victoria 2 folder and the mod's cache in Documents.

Bug: Germany have claims in Austria in odd provinces. Not by events.

Better end of the USSR. The collapse of the USSR is states breaking away and the federation just chugs onward. I think the opposite should happened with states declaring independence and Russia either force the states to remained or go to war (happened in the Caucasus). With changes to accepted cultures for example if Ukraine leave then Russia loses Ukrainian as an accepted culture, etc, etc and maybe gain some like Mari and other cultures if accepted. With the USSR collapse Russia should experience a heavy economic collapse and social unrest for several years or a decade.

Is there any way to reduce many of the infamy caused by events? It is a little too much that an aggressive USSR/USA to contain or spread communism starts WW3 in a single year.

Releasing puppets, renouncing the right to war wars are some of the ways to reduce infamy. Aggressive spreading or containing of communism should be risky and entail a high chance of WW3 breaking out unless some action is take to cool down tensions.
