Are people really that stupid or is this just being over-reported?
Here is yet another article talking about the big warning about not playing video games for too-long is a good idea, as if this is a historical trend.
Seriously, Super Mario Brothers for the original Nintendo isn’t going to be hurting anybody with their two buttons unless they physically throw the controller at somebody else.
The Wii is a great system, but let’s put this in perspective, hm?
There will be stupid people and they will do stupid things. People can hurt themselves eating pretzels, for God’s sake.
So let’s just keep the new toy away from the “special” kids, allright?

I hurt my thumb once playing games believe it or not, but I definitely didn’t report it to anyone.

This article talked about A LOT more than injuries from playing these games. In fact, the medical expert contacted said Wii offers more activity during gaming, which is a good thing, than “traditional” games. It talks about Hollywood’s big box-office revenues being outdone by the video industry, how Hollywood has its eye on the industry. … I should know, because I was one of its authors.
