More The Elder Scrolls Online News: Public Dungeons!

Bethesda’s people are really doing the pre-E3 rounds on The Elder Scrolls Online. Last week we got the details of the combat system. Today, CVG and Edge Online, we learn that Bethesda are planning to bring back public dungeons.

A favorite feature that dates back to the original EverQuest, public dungeons are non-instanced areas with densely packed mobs. They can be soloed, but the idea is for players who wander in alone to band together in times of crisis, embarking on fun, spontaneous adventures — at least in theory. Given how long this concept has been around, it’s likely to have its champions (like the people at Bethesda) as well as its detractors. As the articles linked above also mention, The Elder Scrolls Online will have traditional instanced and raid dungeons as well.
