Mortal Kombat X Announced in Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero Trailer

The next game in the Mortal Kombat series is real, and all those teases from Ed Boon have come to fruition.

Mortal Kombat X was revealed this morning in a new trailer that shows off Scorpion and Sub-Zero going head-to-head. Although the trailer is obviously CGI, it does show off one really interesting thing.

Both characters are interacting heavily with the environment. Spinning on tree branches and grabbing limbs to use as weapons is a nice addition to the series, and could be really cool in practice. The game is scheduled to hit PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in 2015.

We’re certain to see more from Mortal Kombat X at E3 next week, so stay tuned to GameFront for all our E3 coverage from the show.
