My T-Shirt Says Spike VGA Reveal is Resident Evil

Those tricky ad-makers at Spike TV slipped the above image into a teaser for the upcoming Video Game Awards next month, immediately after mentioning the world premiere of one or more new titles at the event.

Check out those silhouettes — familiar? You may have seen them before, on a licensed Resident Evil t-shirt. I know I have, because I own that shirt. Compare it to the photo below.

Gamerzines first picked up on the image and the Resident Evil connection, and the game we could be hearing about is the rumored Resident Evil: Raccoon City, the multiplayer adaptation of the series lore that supposedly allows you to both walk and aim at the same time.

We won’t know for sure until the VGAs air on Dec. 11, but the teaser is interesting. Also interesting is a QR code that also got sneaked into the spot in a single frame. It’s a kind of bar code you can run through bar code scanner apps for smart phones. If you have an iPhone, grab Red Laser from the App Store and use the screen grab below so you can see what it does — just don’t expect, you know, any sort of answers.
