Myst Coming to Nintendo 3DS in 2012

Quite a few people, uh, really hate PC adventure classic Myst.

But that doesn’t keep the game from getting continually remade on various platforms. Earlier this year, it appeared on Apple’s iOS mobile platform for the iPhone and iPad, and now it seems you’ll be able to get frustrated with Myst on your Nintendo 3DS in 2012.

According to The Escapist, Myst will launch in March, and will get the stereoscopic 3-D treatment when it’s re-released, too. There won’t be any new content added to the game, but if you’re itching to relive this point-and-click adventure in glorious 3-D while riding a bus, well, just wait until Spring.

I grew up when DOS gaming was king. While I enjoy some PaC games due to nostalgia, I’m glad we’ve (for the most part) moved past them. I never understood the love for pixelhunting when I had Blood, Master of Magic or Betrayal at Krondor to play.
