Naughty DLC: A Saints Row Christmas Special

Now I have a Dildozer. Ho, ho, ho!

I actually just wrote that. Thanks journalism degree!

Anywho, I imagine that’s a statement that will be used with relish in the new Christmas Special DLC for Saints Row IV: How the Saints Saved Christmas. It’s coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on December 11.

What have the Saints gotten themselves into this time? Well, if you remember all those claymation Christmas specials of yore, Volition is going to pillory them all. Here’s the rundown:

Santa is trapped inside the Simulation but the Scrooge-like Boss of the Third Street Saints can’t muster enough Christmas spirit to save him. Can the Saints help the Boss discover the true meaning of the season in time? A holiday classic for the whole family.

There will be plenty of new Santa-themed clothes, vehicles, and weapons — including my personal favorite the Red Rider BB Gun (You’ll shoot your eye out!) — and you can put them all to use in three new story-driven quests.

Volition is also keeping the raunchy holiday cheer going with a Saints Row Sing-A-Long Contest as well as a Naughty or Nice… thing. The studio says a few of its devs have been naughty this year, and it’s our responsibility to get them back on the Nice list. The challenge: tell Volition how those Saints Row devs can get back into Santa’s good graces, and said devs will act out the winning entries on film. This will likely get ridiculous.

You’ve got until December 5th to enter your Sing-A-Long video and November 29 to submit your Nice list idea.

The Saints Row IV Christmas Special DLC is free to everyone with a season pass. No pricing announced for everyone else, but if past DLC is any indication, it will be $3.
