Naughty Dog Will Fix Uncharted 3′s Broken Shooting, Thanks To Some Fans
I didn’t say this in my reaction to Uncharted 3, but something just wasn’t right about the aiming in that game. It just felt… off. I kept missing and I didn’t know why. I’ve played the first two Uncharted games many times, so I should have the aiming down by now, but they must have changed something.
Of course, I’m not the only one who noticed the change to the aiming; folks all over have been complaining about it. And Naughty Dog has taken notice. They were trolling NeoGAF one day and apparently found some really articulate NeaGAFers talking about it. Crazy, right? Somebody at Naughty Dog put out the call for volunteers who would like to come to the studio and help them fix the problem, and some folks did. Seriously, this happened. They went into the studio and did some playtesting and apparently fixed the problem, and now a patch is coming that will give you the option to tweak your aiming so it works better.
This is such a weird story, but also a cool one. This is that one instance in which the fans know what’s up. I wouldn’t suggest listening to the fans most of the time, but in this case they’re absolutely right. Hopefully this fix works.
