NBA Jam iOS Gets (Some) Multiplayer in New Update

When I got to review NBA Jam for the iPhone not too long ago, my one big lament over the game was that it lacked any sort of multiplayer capabilities — which is really where the fun of NBA Jam is found.

Well, EA Mobile has done some work to fix that issue, although it still hasn’t added online play. But it has given us the ability to link to other players using a local Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection — and that’s at least something.

EA also dropped an iPad version of NBA Jam in the App Store today, opening up more players to an awesome arcade basketball experience. And the iPad players can play against their iPhone or iPod Touch-wielding brethren, opening things up a little more. Playing with friends will only make NBA Jam better, so it’s nice to hear EA is addressing this concern in some form, at least.
