NCSoft and Carbine Revealing New Game at Gamescom

NCSoft today announced that they will announce a new game at Gamescom. The game is something that Carbine has been working on for a little while, and Carbine’s Jeremy Gaffney posted a long, very vague tease about it in which he implies that this project is “the Next Big MMO,” and he follows that up with this statement:

“We think we’ve learned enough to make some dramatic steps forward. We have developed some new ways of making online games; games that can adapt to you instead of the other way ’round.”

Yeah, that’s some hype. After announcing the game at Gamescom, they’ll be bringing it to PAX. So we’ll see what all the fuss is about soon enough.

I’ve seen this time and time again. MMO companies promising that their game will be different, when, in fact, they always end up just like every other MMO. Or! They are so buggy everyone quits the first month.
