Neato! A Side-By-Side Comparison Of GTA IV And GTA V Graphics

A few days ago, an enterprising fan put together a machinima version of the recent GTA V trailer using the GTA IV engine. Sadly, it’s been taken down due to copyright claims, but the good folks at Now Gamer managed to save a copy before that happened. Now they’ve created a side by side comparison of GTA IV and GTA V graphics, using the original trailer and machinima version, and the difference is actually pretty impressive. The shot above – GTA V is on the right hand side – gives a pretty good idea of what to expect, but the whole video is worth a watch. Sadly, we can’t embed, so have a look over at Now Gamer.

This makes me pretty excited about GTA V, though I’m willing to bet that the trailer graphics are largely cutscene, which typically look better than standard gameplay. I also still do not believe that the trailer narrator is the main character. In the meantime, if you simply must scratch the GTA itch, I strongly recommend Saints Row: The Third.

(NOTE: Headline corrected after reader DDD noticed I have special needs.)

Could it be DirectX 11? Are they gonna try to compete with Saints Row The Third’s technical advantages for the PC??? And make it much better, gotta admit SA:TT wasnt that graphically brill under DX11 but it was noticeably better then DX9.
