Neo Geo Games Hitting the Wii's Virtual Console in Japan

fatalfury1.pngSNK has apparently confirmed that games from the Neo Geo will be available for download in Japan this September through the Wii’s Virtual Console. They’ll kick it off with Fatal Fury on the 11th, with World Heroes and Magician Lord followign later in the month. Each of these games will be available for 900 Wii Points each. No word yet on whether these games will make their way to North America yet, but I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for Samurai Showdown.

Hopefully, the increased size of these downloads will speed the delivery of an HDD firmware upgrade for the Wii, or at least the ability to play games from an SD card, which would be fine with me.

Also, HDD FTW or Reading from SDcard without having to transfer files.
